BARS AND BROKEN DREAMS

The flickering lights cast long shadows on the faces huddled around greasy tables. Every swig of cheap liquor is a slurp at forgetting, a fleeting escape from the reality that haunts them outside these dim walls. They come here to numb the ache, seeking escape in the company of strangers who get it. But the drinks can only cover the despair for so
